Sonic Liberation Front debuts an original composition an a twelve piece ensemble. This new work is composed as an acknowledgment of the influence which Sun Ra and the Arkestra hold on Sonic Liberation Front, and the greater creative community. The performance coincides with ICA’s current exhibit: Pathways to Unknown Worlds: Sun Ra, El Saturn & Chicago’s Afro-Futurist Underground, 1954-1968. This show is presented by ARS NOVA WORKSHOP. Also performing will be Marshall Allen in Duet with electronic music pioneer Charles Cohen.
